Being a New Mom can be Difficult!

Sometimes those first few weeks or months can be difficult when you are a new mom.  Postpartum depression and anxiety can make it even harder.  New parents need a safe space to come talk about those hard times so that they can begin to feel better and start to enjoy parenting.  This is where I can help!

About Me

I earned my masters degree in professional counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth.  I am also a survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety.   I am certified in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD) through Postpartum Support International (PSI), and  I am also a past board member for the PSI Texas chapter.  I can be seen doing speaking engagements around town, educating on PMADs and raising awareness on the importance of maternal mental heath.  I am also one of the original counselors working on the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline.

In July 2024, I was honored to be invited to the White House to meet with the Office of the Vice President, along with a small group of counselors, to speak on maternal mental health and the perinatal experience.
